Download Dwyco Video Products

NOTE! If you are UPGRADING from a previous version of any Dwyco software, DO NOT UNINSTALL your old software! Install it over your existing software, or install it into a completely different folder.

Download Dwyco Video Conferencing (CDC32)

Download Dwyco PowerBrowse

After DOWNLOADING

You should have a file called dwyco297.exe and/or dwycopb.exe on your hard drive. It is a self-installing executable. Simply run it and CDC32 (or PowerBrowse, whichever is applicable) installs itself on your computer.

If you have a previous version of CDC32 on your computer, DO NOT UNINSTALL. This file will upgrade your existing software without disrupting your zap messages.

One way to do this using the Windows  taskbar is to do the following:

  • Click on "Start".
  • Click on "Run".
  • Enter the full path to "dwyco297.exe" (for PowerBrowse, "dwycopb.exe) in the "Open" item.
  • Click "Ok".

If you downloaded a file called dwyco297.zip, you must unzip the file first, and then run the resulting dwyco297.exe file.

Detailed UPGRADE Instructions for Dwyco Video (NOT PowerBrowse)

If you are smart, when any Dwyco software offers you an AUTOUPDATE, you will do that because it is the easiest and fastest way to update. No muss, no fuss. From time to time we disable old versions of the software since we can't support them any longer, and if you have been ignoring our autoupdate notifications, you may end up with various errors (mostly "password incorrect" errors when you try to log in.) If you are one of these techno-luddites that gets left out in the cold, you will have to update "by hand".

Normally, you can just run dwyco297.exe and it will automatically upgrade your existing software. IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS, the following information may be helpful.

  • TURN OFF YOUR VIRUS CHECKER if you have one running. Remember to turn it back on after the install completes.
  • Do NOT uninstall your current software. If you did mistakenly uninstall, YOU WILL NOT LOSE YOUR MESSAGES. You will, however, lose your current account information, which you can restore from backups (you do have backups, right?) If you don't have backups, well, you can just reinstall the software, but you will have a new account. Your messages will be intact.
  • To do the update, run the file you downloaded (dwyco297.exe) to install. When it asks, INSTALL INTO YOUR EXISTING CDC32 INSTALL FOLDER
(usually c:\program files\dwyco2). If you do this, then you will not lose anything. Let me repeat that: If you follow directions and INSTALL INTO YOUR EXISTING CDC32 install folder, you will NOT lose anything.
  • If you run the installer, and then run cdc32 and everything appears to
be gone, then you botched entering the right folder when it asked for
the install folder.  EVEN IF THIS HAPPENS, YOU HAVE NOT LOST ANYTHING. Just rerun the installer (dwyco297.exe), and select the proper folder
when it asks for it, and everything will be ok. You can do this as many
times as you need to get it right.
